Well those of you following this blog for the dynamic pictures of each day are in for a surprise. It's a travel day and there are very few pictures. We left Triburg And headed for Lyons, France. really not much to tell. After leaving the Black Forest the countryside became flat and the towns non-discript. My apologizes to those who live there. One surprise before we left Germany was we stopped for gasoline (Germany is cheaper than France) and inside the gas station was Landjaeger. Just hanging there for sale.I bought the last four/eight pieces. What a great way to say goodbye to Germany.
Only 4 left by the time I took this picture.
We drove the expressway long enough for me to get off and go the back way. But enough back way is enough and we got back on the expressway and after driving through parts of Lyons, We got to out Hotel. It is nice and very modern, but nothing is available as far as food close by. So we opened bottles of wine we had carried with us as well as the Landjaeger and some Salome from Paris (not good. It had been in our car too long.) and had dinner in our room.
Believe me we have eaten enough in the past week that one night without a big meal is fine. Plus we are headed to Aix en Provence tomorrow and we know we will eat well there.
Good Night
