Day Twenty Five: And on the Twenty Fifth Day They Rested

Well sort of a day of rest. I was so tired last night I left out a lot of what happened. So a quick review.

Mary Ann and I had stayed at the Hotel Pfaff 25 years ago celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Took pictures and had a great meal. So when I knew we were returning for our 50th, I made 8 by10 photos of the hotel and restaurant from 25 years ago. Then I presented them to the owners who are still here running it, though back then it was their Mother and Father. I think they really appreciated them. The partner and chef pointed to a nother picture of him back then and said "Look No Grey Hair."  They also gave us free desserts for our dinner. Which was still great. I had wild boar, Mary Ann venison and Linda trout. It was a very nice end of the day.

Now to today. We had been doing so much with Family in Thungen and Family in Planig that we really needed a pace to do nothing. There is plenty to see and do here but we slept late had a late breakfast and loafed till 12:00 Noon. we then walked up the hill to a different restaurant and had lunch. I of course had not had any Schnitzel yet so today had to be the day. And of course two warm sausage also know as Frankfurters. Great lunch. Did I mention that the day is a very typical Autumn day. Crisp mountain air.

After lunch we try to decide whether to ride the city tourist train or walk up to the Water Falls. The Water Falls wins since we have free admission tickets from the Hotel. It is cool enough to make the walk a very nice time.

Sorry if anyone watching this now has to go to the bathroom.

A squirrel decided to join me on the walk to the top.

After the walk to the falls, we went back to the hotel terrace for a beer and coffee. Oh yes we also had a serving of the Grand Mariner ice cream that I had had last night. Then to look at the shops that are also part of any tourist town.
It is very common for buildings and homes to have scenes painted on their stucco walls.

Wood carvings of many shapes and sizes.

We walk back to the hotel ready for a nap and a late dinner at the hotel. We had dinner at the Hotel. Different from last night but still very nice and delicious.

Last meal in Germany for a while.
