We leave Orviedo and drive to San Sebastian. Basque Country. A four hour drive. Got a nice early start and drove the four lane for about three hours. then decided to take some back roads and go to Guernica. I love the back roads but it sure takes longer.
So we get to Guernica and find the spot that inspired Picasso's famous painting that exposed the horrors of the Spanish Civil War. Needless to say it didn't make him a friend of General Franco.

After a nice lunch in Guernica, we drove to the sea and along the coast saw this lovely little town.

We get to San Sebastion, find our lovely apart ment and go for drinks. This is outside our Apartment.
Our apartment is the one with the flowers.

Rested and went out to eat. Nice light dinner and to bed early after a long travel day.
