Road to Pompei via Greek. June 8th

A travel day so don't expect much. We leave our castle in Teggiano after breakfast across the street from last nights dinner. He is open but has no pastry so Edison Sal sends us across the street.
A three hour drive gets us to Paestum.  Greek ruins with some of the best preserved temples in the world.  We have lunch and head out into the ruins.

Amanda really enjoyed the Temples.

We arrive in Pompei and of course have trouble finding our place. We get there and it is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the castle. Oh well. At least it is close to the ruins. Will probably find a different place when we return with the Mansels.

Dinner is at Caterinas downtown since we couldn't find our first choce.  It was a nice meal and afterwards Patty and I went next door and bought the shop out of spiudells. Patty's  favorite. And oh yes, the late afternoon storm from Teggiano followed us to Pompei.  Must have been a similar sound when Vesuvius erupted in 79AD.
