Lazy Tuesday. Italy's Independance Day. June 2nd

Today I slept late and worked on putting videos on the blog.  After lunch in the apartment, we drove up to a small cave known as The Cell where St Francis stayed for sometime near Cortona. After that we went to the top of Cortona and visited a church and the fortress that was undergoing restoration.

We went back into town and had a beer, and gelatto and people watched. Since it was Independence Day, they were having a Medieval fair in the Piazza Della Republica.  I took some videos but they will have to be added later.

Back to the apartment to rest then back into town for dinner. Very crowded so we didnt get to eat outside, but had a decent meal never the less. In the square were more demonstrations including a falconry demonstration.
