An Audience With The Pope

Today we went to the audience with The Pope. Along with about 10,000 other people from all over the world. Was really quite impressive.  A group of young Korean girls played cymbals while The Pope drove around Saint Peter's Square in the Pope Mobile.  Started early to at least get some seats .  After the service we had to say goodbye to Jessica and her family.  They were headed to Venice and then Paris.  Such a fun time with them but way too short.
We had a so so lunch near the Vatican. Thousands of people looking for lunch limited places.  Enough said.
We then walked back and forth looking for a bus that would take us to the shopping district. Finally found one but of course it was hot and crowded. I am not a big fan of city buses.  We found a suitcase for Mary Ann, walked to the Metro, got back to the apartment and took naps. It does not look like Mary Ann's old suitcase will be found. And these are the people we entrust flying airplanes. Oh yea, Virgin Atlantic is owned by Mr Branson, who is taking deposits for people to fly into space on his shuttle. Good luck with that.
After snacking on the leftovers in the frig, we went out for coffee and pastry,  came home and packed and to bed.
Tomorrow we pick Linda up at the airport and drive to Assisi. The start of a different kind of adventure.

A short video of The Pope
